EAST BRUNSWICK – DOROTHEA M. PAUL TAORMINA died Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 49.

Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided there until moving to East Brunswick 18 years ago.

Since her childhood, Dorothy’s primary goal was to be a mom. Prior to achieving this, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the College of Staten Island and began her career in the NYC financial district as a reconciliation analyst. As her children grew, she reentered the workforce, changing her focus to pharmaceutical sample accountability.

She was adamantly devoted to her husband, children, family, and friends. She was an active member of Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Brunswick and served on the church council. Her bright smile and her booming laughter brought joy to her children’s sporting events, the Jersey shore, and everyone she met.

She was predeceased by her father, Bernard Paul.

Dorothy leaves behind her husband, Vincenzo Taormina, who she has known and loved for 30 years and has been married to for more than 23 years; her children, Victoria, Vincenzo “Vinny”, and Jillian Taormina, all at home; her mother, Dolores Paul (Jenkins) of Staten Island, NY; a brother, Bernard “Bernie” Paul of Staten Island, NY; and a sister, Darilyn “Dalve” Paul of Monroe Township, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
